Rep. Seth Moulton in Columbia, SC

Description

U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., Holds Veterans Mental Health Town Hall in Columbia, S.C. on May 29, 2019.
Moulton, a Marine veteran, opened up about his military service and post traumatic stress related issues as a result of the Iraq War. He's rolling out a new policy initiative in early voting states to increase mental health accessibility to return veterans and civilians alike.
For returning troops, he wants a mental health check up within two weeks of returning and regular annual mental health checkups. He also wants money to go toward screening high schoolers for mental health problems as well.
Moulton became the first presidential candidate in modern history to reveal he's sought mental health treatment, something he is encouraging others to do.
