The number of centenarians, people over the age of 100, in America is expected to more than quadruple over the next 30 years, According to the U.S. Census Bureau. That’s a projected 422,000 centenarians by 2054, up from an estimated 101,000 in 2024. What are the challenges and solutions for an expanding centenarian population?
We hear from Ernest Gonzales, director MSW Program and the Center for Health & Aging Innovation at New York University. His expertise is in the areas of productive aging, health equity, intergenerational research and cross-national aging research.
