We hear personal accounts from the victim’s families and how Asian Americans are fighting back to create safer communities; Plus lawmakers pass the Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act in response to racism and violent attacks. Special guests include: Congresswoman Grace Meng (NY, 6th district), Congressman Mark Takano (CA, 41st district), Sam Cheng, son of Queen’s assault victim, Detective Henry Chung of NYPD Asian Hate Crime Task Force, John Yang, President of Asian American Advancing Justice and Kalaya’an Mendoza, Director of U.S. Programs at Nonviolence Peaceforce.
