Making the Future - Jermaine

Description

Jermaine is 26-year old. He grew up in Bridgeport and has turned his life around. After running into trouble with the law, he is now very happy with his position as a CNC operator at Balding Precision in Milford. He learned about advanced manufacturing at Carl Robinson Prison where he served for a weapons charge. Connecticut’s “Second Chance” program supported him after release from prison, helping Jermaine to enroll in the Advanced Manufacturing Program at Housatonic Community College. After just a year in school, he earned an internship position at Balding, which makes parts for medical, aerospace, and automotive. Jermaine credits his faith in Jesus for his transformation. He is an active member of his church, serving as a postive role model for the youth in the ministry program. He is married with three kids and wants to be the father that he never had.
