BORN IN 1944, THE ATCHISON TOPEKA AND SANTA FE 2926 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE RAN A MILLION MILES BEFORE BEING RETIRED IN 1956. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY, THE NEW MEXICO STEAM LOCOMOTIVE AND RAILROAD HISTORICAL SOCIETY RESTORED THE LOCOMOTIVE TO HER FORMER GLORY.
