Carl Johnson was born in DeRidder, LA. He was drafted after graduating college to be a mortician in August of 1965. JJ Johnson was a combat medic in Vietnam. Mr. Johnson served over 26 years in the military and retired in June of 1992 as a Command Sergeant Major. He is a member of the Buffalo Soldiers and is a Silver Star recipient.
