PBS PhD Science Level 5 Module 4 Lesson 5
Description
Students begin Lesson 5 by observing shadows changing length over time, leading them to wonder about the relationship between the appearance of shadows and the position of a light source. To answer their questions, students carry out an investigation (SEP.3) to determine how the position of a light source affects shadow length. They look for patterns (CC.1) while analyzing the resulting data. This allows students to investigate the Phenomenon Question: Why do shadows change during a day?
