In Concert with CMS – Kreisler and Mendelssohn
Description
This episode of "In Concert with CMS," presented by the renowned Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, features back-to-back quartets. The first is Kreisler’s four-movement “A-Minor String Quartet,” a tribute to the composer’s birthplace of Vienna. Following that, you’ll hear Mendelssohn’s “C-Minor Piano Quartet.” This four movement work was composed when Mendelssohn was only 13 years old, and already contains the composer’s melodicism and romanticism.
