Description
In Lesson 1 part 1, students are introduced to the idea that the Sun, the Moon, and stars can be used for navigation. They learn about ancient Polynesian navigation and how Polynesians used observations of the Sun, the Moon, and stars (ESS1.B) to help them navigate to distant islands. Students begin to explore the Phenomenon Question: How do we describe our view of the Sun, the Moon, and stars in Earth’s sky?
