Getting Help with Bills during The Crisis
Description
Many of us have seen a dramatic cut in income so what do we do about all those bills that keep coming?
When it comes to credit cards, many companies are already working with customers struggling because of the pandemic.
These companies are lowering their APR, deferring payments for several months and waiving interest and fees.
Auto finance companies are also willing to defer payments and waive late fees.
The key is to call your credit card company or bank ahead of time and explain what’s going on--that includes mortgage companies which are also working to help consumers right now.
And be sure to talk to your phone providers and utilities because they are easing shutoffs.
Federal student loan payments have also been delayed interest-free for two months.
