The opioid epidemic has affected all corners of our community. It’s a huge problem that could leave your average person feeling helpless. But WXXI’s Caitlin Whyte talked to people who decided it was time to do something themselves. From elected officials and librarians to family members and everyday citizens, many members of the community are coming together and starting to carry the overdose-reversing drug Narcan.
