Everyday we hear about the amazing dedication of medical staff in this fight against the pandemic. Scientists worldwide are also trying to do their part--many who were competitors are now collaborators.

Michael Wells, is a neuroscientist at the Broad Institute and Harvard University. After his lab had to be closed he started a shareable database that has gathered information from more than 7,000 scientists who are ready to volunteer their skills.

Wells is also working with endcoronavirus.org. it’s an effort to match scientists skills where they’re needed most and finding those who can donate materials such as genetic extraction kits.

Laboratories around the world are also generating an unprecedented amount of data on the virus and sharing the information online with the scientific community.
