Clyburn weighed in on the House's decision to launch a formal impeachment inquiry.
"I remember very well how many people supported Richard Nixon right up to the revelation that there was in fact actual wrongdoing taking place," Clyburn said. "And we saw a shift in public sentiment just like you’re seeing today."
Clyburn also weighed in on Harrison's Republican opponent, Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Sen. Cory Booker was also present for Harrison's kick off event.
