Air Force Veteran, Rex J. Close, was drafted by the U.S. Government to serve in the Vietnam War after he left college at Kent State University. Close reflects on his time in the war and remembers his fellow service members living and deceased. He also discusses the lingering issues of PTSD and Veteran homelessness. Vietnam Echoes is produced by Alaska Public Media on the occasion of The Vietnam War, a film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick premiering on PBS in September 2017.
