Dr. Isaac Hampton is the Command Historian of U.S. Army South. He is a professor at Texas A&M University- San Antonio and at San Antonio College. Dr. Hampton was born in Urbana, OH and served three years in the U.S. Army from 1988-1991. His first book was The Black Officer Corps: A History of Black Military Advancement from Integration through Vietnam.
